Wow! We've been making some very good progress lately. Version 0.1.7 is very close to being complete, and includes some very nice new features. If you have a chance, update your code from CVS, build it and test the heck out of it. The biggest addition to version 0.1.7 is the introduction of saved reports. It's now possible to create a list of column, row and filter elements, and have them applied to the report grid with a single click! If you find user picking and clicking the same drilldowns and filters on a repeatative basis, defining a few saved reports will save them time and potential errors. Thanks to Rashmi for putting this together! The other really cool feature is the ability to add an image to the report page. In and of itself, this is a "no big deal" sounding feature, but consider that the image can be "dropped" into the internal database, instead of inside the web application. This means that images can be added, updated or removed without having to open the war file. Thanks to Ming for the ability to make this feature a reality! Of course, bug fixes and updated documentation will also be included. Because we have a nice, stable set of features, we will be releasing version 0.2.0 before including any new major features. Once we start improving version 0.2.0, it would be extremely helpful to have a more complete database for developers and testers to use. If you are interested in helping to create sample data, or have ideas or suggestions, please send a message to the list (or contact me offline). If you know of a company that might be willing to trade installation and configuration services for an export of data (we'll take great care to remove or modify any sensitive data), it would go a long way to improving the project. Finally, there is a new mailing list that all active developers and testers should subscribe to. All CVS commits should be posted to the list, along with a list of the files being committed. You can subscribe to it from the pocOLAP project page on sourceforge. Thank you for your continued contributions and support of pocOLAP.
