v0.4a of both libipc and the Pocket Concert USB Protocol Guide have been released (the fact that both share the same version number is coincidence, only).
Note that some reliability issues have been observed under Linux 2.4.2 kernels. See the README file in the libipc archive for details.
v0.3a fixes the track download function, thanks to new information learned about the USB protocol used by the Pocket Concert. The Protocol Guide needs updating...
The Pocket Concert project has gone from pre-alpha to alpha with the release of v0.2a of the library. The API has been fleshed out and is not likely to change severely in future releases.
I have released my in-progress libipc code. It is functional, but the API is still very much in flux and is nowhere near complete.
Also released is the Pocket Concert USB protocol guide, for those who are interested in some of the technical details in communicating with the Pocket Concert.
After having spent many weeks poking at USB logs and generating some proof-of-concept code, I have created this project here at SourceForge to house the library that is under development, as well as my documention on the Pocket Concert protocol and interface.
I do having working code for all known functions on the device (file downloads, file management, etc.), but it's not in a state where it is ready for release. Documentation is in progress. Stay tuned for more updates.... read more
