Currently it is not possible to run PNotes.NET from the "program files" directory without administrator privileges. If using the -conf option to change the paths, you have to assign them every time you launch the program. But if using file shortcuts passing (to run at startup) all paths exceeds the allowed number of letters.

Maybe the use of the proramData folder is an option (see link below)

    1. Therefore it's recommended to install on C:\, not on C:\Program Files, i.e. C:\PNotes.NET
    2. Doesn't PNotesNETShortcutManager do the job?

    1. Installing to "C:\" instead to "program files" feels somehow wrong to me ;)
    2. Thank you. The ShortcutManager could fix it.

Anyway, i would suggest extract all data to another location by default, for example the user folder or the program data.

Actually you may install anywhere you want, C:\ is just recommendation. But only on C:\ you will not have problems with User Account Control.
