You can shrink the files slightly by making a final pass over the
image with pngcrush, to remove ancillary chunks that were
inserted by ImageMagick:

pngcrush -rem alla -rem vpAg png8.png png8_pc.png

Run "pngcheck -v" on the before and after images to see what
I mean.
