Would you like a pypi package?

    Good afternoon,

Here at ReportLab we have a very old GUI app we wrote using Pmw 12 years ago, with a few users, that just won't die ;-) We are switching to installing everything with pip. We have therefore made up a 'pmw' tar file with a slightly different structure and setup file that works with pypi and pip, and have it in a private repo. The current instance has a 'smart setup script' so it knows if you are using Python 2.x or 3.x, and installs Pmw 1.3.3 or 2.0.0 accordingly; but it would be trivial to create two separate ones.

Would you like to use this and put it on pypi, or indeed would you like me to upload it to pypi on your behalf?

If you want to have a play, you can do this in a virtual environment:
    pip install pmw -i https://beta:gammadelta@www.reportlab.com/pypi/

That username and password will only be valid for a few days.

    Best Regards,

    Andy Robinson
    CEO, ReportLab.

p.s. I haven't used sourceforge in years so feel free to email me at andy at my-company-name dot com.

I've adapted the new package style today. It's been released as the new default download. Many thanks for the effort!
