CVS: I'm sooooo happy

I'm sooo happy now :)

Just after the release of version 2.2.2 I've made a 'tag' in CVS.

Tags can be used to 'archive' your code.
I've succesfully tagged the 2.2.2 release.

so `cvs co -r V_2_2_2 PMS' will get you the 2.2.2 version.
if you do `cvs co PMS' you get the latest files.

Please note that pserver CVS access is 24 hours old, but in my case it's not being updated. I've already submitted a support request.

CVS

I've setup the CVS repository for PMS.

Now I'm working on version 2.2.2.
BUT CVS may be up to 24 hours old. (It's older if you ask me)

Problems with 2.2.1

I just found out that the 2.2.1 release didn't include an install file.
You need that install file because the table structure has changed.

I had the new install file in another directory, but forgot about it.

I will be re-writing the automatic installer and the normal installer.
The final release of 2.2.1 will happen in a few days.

PMS Standard 2.1.1 Released: Installer security fixed

Due to a major security vulnerability in version 2.1.0 of Private Messaging System, we have released a new version which contains a fixed version of the installer file. The old version used at some points, the GET method for submitting sensitive data like database details when installing. This has now been fixed so the POST method is used. If you are running version 2.0.5 or later of this script, there is no need to update, because the only files that have changed are the installer ones.

PMS now safe mode compatible

With the release today of version 2.1.0. safe mode, PMS is now compatible with servers running PHP in safe mode. If you are already running version 2.0.5 of PMS there is no need to upgrade to this version, as no major changes have been made.

PMS standard 2-1-0 beta

This is basically the old version 2.0.5 with an installer feature added so that you do not have to configure any variables manually to start using the script. It is not compatible with php in safemode, so use the safe mode version if your server requires it.
