As a newly interested in the stock market mechanism, I downloaded your software. It really looks very good to my limited knowledge!
Do you, or could you provide some minimal information as to how to use the program?
E.g. I tried to add a new share to MyPortfolio, so there I can choose a share allright, I can also enter the Quantity, but how do I enter the BuyPrice??
Next I don't see any change at all. (I left the system running overnight to allow for downloading whatever...)
In the upper brown region - Buy/Sell/Neutral/All
What can I do there - how do I enter information or criteria?
Is there some way I can monitor e.g. a *.txt file or a database or such where I can monitor the program actually doing something?
I realize due to my native Dutch speech some financial 'terms' will somewhat hide their exact meaning to me...
Thanks for helping out!!
Best regards and best whishes!
Erwin

Hi there,
Thank you for using PiggyMarketSqueak :) and sorry for the late response.
Regarding your question, when you add "New share ..." you can select multiple shares in the list and specify a common quantity.
Than you can modify each line independently in your portfolio by clicking on the cell you want to modify. Click on the Quantity, Cash in or Cash out should pop up a form that would help you.
In order to start the automated download, you probably will have to run a script in the back ground (Look in the shell folder, I provided service.bat to add the soft as a service and all.bat that should run the download).
Buy/Sell/Neutral/All are tab thumbs that filters the buy and sell events and can present you with a list of share to buy and to sell.
The only criterias available to customise your event window at the moment can be set in the top left corner of the event frame (any suggestion about what would should be customisable is by the way very well come).
To monitor any progress, you can have a look in the pmsjava.log file.
Enjoy,
Kind Regards,
Guillaume.
