I'm not sure to understand.
Is following statement correct?
When you watch any video on the renderer using pms-mlx, the text 'Chapter 1' is being shown on the bottom of the video, like subtitles would, but the text remains the same throughout the video.

took forever to figure how to add a comment... the sourcefourge "button link" Add a comment: does not change the mouse cursor..... Anyways: Yes, taconaut.
If I change the checkbox, "autoload subtitle file" if i check that on or off, it does not matter.
"Chapter 1" will show up. and, if i stop the file, come back, the "Chapter 1" is gone.
however, when chapter 2 starts, it will say "Chapter 2"
the "Chapter #" does not disappear neither.
only if i check "Definitely disable subtitles" does this not appear.
it happens in x264 aac videos in m4v container
although i followed a link in the pms forums with a bug exactly like this, it does not do this any longer in the newest pms build. but it does this in pms mlx 0.2

it still does this in version .4
i haven't used mlx for a while because of this
it is a major issue (for me)
and the only way to get rid of it, as i said, is "definitely disable subtitles"
i'm not sure why if you are using recent pms builds why this happens in mlx

Have you tried rescanning the entire library with the latest version of pms-mlx (0.4)? A small change has been made to use Mediainfo rather then ffmpeg to parse the metadata of the video. This is the only thing I can think of that is different when comparing to pms.

I'd really like to help you out there, but I don't really know what to look at.
In the pms formus there are some similar cases mentioned:
