The goal of the project team is to release 0.3.0 until end of year 2005.

The following functions have to be implemented to complete the release.

- Basic support of docking in explorer framework.
Current status: implemented, not fully tested.
- Closing all bugs define in the tracker.
Current status: under way, work for ROSE integration
- Release internal testing is scheduled for next week-end

We are happy to announce that pmMDA has a new sister project. The pmMDA.NET project provides cartridges and the associated frameworks for Microsoft .NET environement. These frameworks are similar to the ones provided in pmMDA.

A Swiss technical university (FH) is using pmMDA to develop cartrigdes for the .NET environment during 2005. The project is supported through national grants.

The pmMDA team is proud that pmMDA was selected as tool. The findings of the applied research project will be implemented in the 0.3.x releases branch. The release of 0.3.1 is scheduled Q1 2005.

The release 0.2.9 of the pmMDA project was promoted from RC-2 without changes. The release
can used to generate 2 and 3 tiers applications using CORBA or J2EE. The persistence layer is based on OJB.

The second candidate release of the pmMDA project is available 1 November 2004.

The modifications cover two areas. First all known problems are corrected. Second the validation framework is activated. The explorer client can verify the correctness of the UML model and the consistency of the tag values of cartriges.

The pmMDA group prepares the release 0.2.9 RC-1 scheduled 15 September 2004. We recommend all new users to wait this release before starting to work with pmMDA.

pmMDA project was registered at sourceforge. The tool documentation describing available options and all defined UML prototype and tags will be published. The available MDA cartridges - currently CORBA, J2EE, OJB and BOG (JSR-235) - are published.

The pmMDA group will test the release up to the 30 July 2004 to guarantee high quality standards. The web site is already available and contains extensive information about pmMDA and DoG.... read more

Users and developers are welcome to the project. The development tools are Java 1.4, Eclipse, Ant, Velocity, ArgoUML, OpenOffice, OJB, JBoss, JONAS, Checkstyle.
