I'm not positive this is caused by the high-res (640x480) camera or not (I didn't get a chance to poke around the code), but my wild guess is that it is. When you hit record, you get the following error:
Sizes of input arguments do not match () in function cvFlip, c:\User\VP\opencv\cxcore\src\cxcopy.cpp(944)
with options to abort, retry, or ignore. In each case the window closes, but the process stays running, and keeps a lock on the video file until you kill it.

I'm going to get a new camera soon, and I'll have a look into it then. cvFlip is the command that flips the image vertically/horizontally...Funny that the error is happening when you hit record. Maybe I've hard coded the size of the video. I'll have a look at the code tonight.

    Hi there!
OK, I know what the problem is. I've fixed it in the code atm but haven't
tested it yet. I have to install my other camera that defaults to 640x480
to test this issue. Hopefully sometime this week. Thanks for letting me
    know :)

Fixed and committed. Will be released in Version 0.6.
