Shareholder Profit Projector

About

This WordPress block was thrown together for fun for the first Plugin Jam Blockathon, themed "grow".

It's a satirical submission where you can watch shareholder profits rise on a chart the more you boast about AI on the site.

Usage

Create a new page or post (or open an existing one) and add the "Shareholder Profit" block.

Start typing about amazing, life-changing AI and related integrations. Here's an example:

Enterprise guardrails, safety, and alignment reduce hallucination and support responsible AI and AI governance.

Meet your new AI assistant: a copilot-style chatbot that can behave like an agent, an AI agent, an autonomous agent, and even agentic and systems with smart orchestration. multi-agent

Our AI platform is pure artificial intelligence, designed to accelerate digital transformation with automation, workflow automation, and intelligent automation that drive value creation and value add.

Watch the project's profit grow!

It also takes the title and excerpt into account, not just the main content, though the keyword detection is very basic—it doesn't even handle case sensitivity or plurals.

That said, the chart reacts in real time as you type and considers content across all published posts, which is somewhat nice.

Open WordPress Playground with the plugin installed and activated.

See a demo on YouTube.

Word of caution

This "project" doesn't follow best practices, isn't performant, and about half of it is copy-pasted or LLM-generated.

Basically, don't use it.
