I used to test it with the Blackdown Java(TM) 2 SDK Version
1.2.2 FCS. Such an old SDK may still work, but I don't guarantee it.
I have been testing it for the last year or so with IBM's downloadable
IBMJava2-SDK-14.tgz. I have lost my notes for exactly where I acquired
that, and I don't want to repeat going through all the forms you have to
fill out to get an IBM download, but I presume it corresponds to the 1.4.1
SR1 Intel compatible download you see at
I note Blackdown
(ftp://metalab.unc.edu/pub/linux/devel/lang/java/blackdown.org/) has easy
downloads (no forms) for JDK 1.4.2 (beta) so when that goes final, that is
probably the next version I will try.
What Java versions are available under Mac OS X? I believe the Java
interface for PLplot should work for JDK 1.4.1 and newer.
