I'm afraid no, especially since I don't have access to a cygwin environment
at the moment.

All I can recommend (again) is that you apply the patch I created for you
over a *clean* plib_examples-1.6.1 tree and try to run ./configure
afterwards. Doing so should at least allow you to compile the example
programs for now, independently of your autoconf problem.
