Well, we've never needed to add pthread to the configure linkage for anyone else (and if we do it, it has to be for everyone). What version of Mesa are you running? Did it come with your Linux distribution? The odd thing is that I've seen that applications that use Mesa need pthreads - and all of my games link to it for that very reason. What I don't understand is how come we never had a problem with linking the mini-applications that the configure script generates.
