So, I use 'make dist' to make the distribution tarball - and it *used* to
work.  Something must have happened to 'Makefile.am's "extra-dist" entry.

Ah - yes - checking the CVS records, I see that *SOMEONE* has removed the
entry requiring those files.

That happened between version 1.5 and 1.6 of examples/Makefile.am ...and
that entry was committed by....
