Well - I wouldn't be *too* hopeful about that.  Amongst the many dumb
things RedHat did in 7.x, I think pretty much all of them were promptly
mimiced by Mandrake in their 8.x release.

Certainly the horribly wrong 2.96/2.97 compiler "releases" that RedHat
distributed have been seen in Mandrake 8.

Well, I don't know about that - but they seem to have made all the same
stoopid decisions.  I don't know whether that's good or not!
