We use the Linux kernel team's convention of using an even number in the second digit of the version number to indicate a "stable" release with an odd number indicating a 'beta' test version. So I'd hope that *developers* of FlightGear would regularly test against PLIB 1.5.x so that they don't get any nasty suprises when 1.6.x appears. End users of FGFS should use 1.4.x since they are only interested in something that works well right *NOW* and PLIB 1.5.x could well have bugs, be hard to install or be incompatible with the latest FGFS...that's why its 'in beta'. ----------------------------- Steve Baker ------------------------------- HomeMail : <sjb...@ai...> WorkMail: <sj...@li...> HomePage : http://web2.airmail.net/sjbaker1 Projects : http://plib.sf.net http://tuxaqfh.sf.net http://prettypoly.sf.net http://tuxkart.sf.net http://freeglut.sf.net http://toobular.sf.net |
