Sure - and I'm hoping that if I can offload some of the PLIB work, my PPE efforts could be larger. > BTW, it *MIGHT* be that I have to rewrite the > *.x loaders/writers in Mdi_edit in some time, then I would > probably write some for plib at the same time. > *.x is Micro$ofts Direct3D file format, mainly used for games. More loaders will *always* be welcome. And wearing PPE hat for a moment - some WRITERS would be v.welcome too! Writers are generally MUCH easier to write than loaders...a VRML exporter would be cool for PPE. A *very* simple example program that coupled all of our loaders to all of our writers with a simple command-line or pointsy-clicksy file selector would result in a file conversion utility that would be a service to mankind. > Dave (or anybody else), if I want to see how a loader/writer works, > which should I look at? Probably the AC3D loader then - it's an ASCII input format - which makes life easier. > Its absolutely not clear I would do this, but if then I will probably > only implement the ASCII-*.x-format, not the binary one. Well, I've added you to the developer's list...let me know if you want me to take you off again! -- Steve Baker HomeEmail: <sjb...@ai...> WorkEmail: <sj...@li...> HomePage : http://web2.airmail.net/sjbaker1 Projects : http://plib.sourceforge.net http://tuxaqfh.sourceforge.net http://tuxkart.sourceforge.net http://prettypoly.sourceforge.net |
