These sound really neat.

This would be great.  I have a multiple GLUT window mechanism for
PUI, too.  I'd like to see a solution that works.  Mine fails is
some odd ways, and I've shelved it.  I was going to look at it
again after I got some more stuff done is my program that was going
to use it.
