The current state of the nvidia utah-glx support is such that I'm
about ready to go by a voodoo3 ...  the latest utah-glx stuff out of
CVS is utterly broke for my TNT2 ... no textures, 0.5 fps, completely
brings the machine to it's knees when rendering ... software only mesa
*is* faster and much less disruptive to the machine.  I'm not a happy
member of the nvidia band wagon right now.

If I didn't have to buy a new transmitter for my new R/C plane, I
would have a voodoo3 in my hand right now.

The most recent rumor I heard is that nvidia is not planning on using
the XFree 4.0 / DRI infrastructure for their drivers ... they plan to
forge their own path and do something else which no one is quite sure
what, how, when, or why.  This is the rumor I heard.
