You're right; I'm operating from memory from over a year ago. The change went in on February 7, 2003; Norman Vine put it in for me, so don't hold him responsible for it. The associated comments are "Allow PUI to shut down gracefully," so it definitely had something to do with deleting widgets all over the place.
