PLIB (FNT) and Opengl 4 core
Brought to you by:

plibfnt does not work with opengl 4 core.
(Invalid Operation)
Can this be mentioned more prominently in the documentation and in the "How Portable is PLIB?" section of
http://plib.sourceforge.net/requirements.html
?
PLIB is seriously obsolete!
I didn't think anyone was still using it and I'm not at all surprised that
it doesn't work with more modern OpenGL versions. It was designed for
OpenGL 1.x!
I don't think there is much prospect of it ever being fixed/upgraded
unless you do it yourself.

I cannot update it to work with OpenGL 4. But still, I would like the webpage to mention that it uses OpenGL 1.x in the requirements page.
I found the font library quite useful for my 3DScover-VR software, described here:

Flightgear, https://sourceforge.net/projects/flightgear/ uses plib, but the developers are working toward phasing plib out.
there is a plib-ng project in the planning stages - no details at all in the sourceforge projec. It was created in 2015.
