Produces annoying noices instead of real sound like if the DSP data
is byte swapped or something.

Playing the example tuxr.mod with mikmod works nicely, so it's
almost definately a plib problem.

Linux 2.4.23, Debian unstable, CM8738 chipset with either OSS
cmpci.o driver OR alsa snd-cmipci driver, plib-1.6.0.
