System Requirements

Plgen version 1.8 introduces a graphical user interface (GUI).
If you choose to use this version over the command-line version (see
below), the following requirements apply:

• Python interpreter >= 3.2
• fatsort >= 0.9.13
• python3-pyqt4 (>= 4.9.3-4)
• and of course your music playing device using FAT filesystem

If you plan to use the command line version up to and including 1.4,
your requirements are:

• Python interpreter version >= 2.6.6
  • find out by typing in console: python --version
• Linux distribution (so far only tested on Debian Squeeze)
• fatsort freeware (>= 0.9.13)
• VT100 terminal (don't worry, just run the program :))

After you have met the requirements and installed the program,
please read the (short) man page for further instruction.

If you installed the deb-package, just run man plgen in a
terminal.

If you installed the tar.gz file, then go to the folder named
docs and type _man plgen.1 in a terminal.
