No

Getting log files > 2GB is easy. Code simply needs to be compiled with certain flags.
By adding the following small patch to the configure.ac in the 2.1.2 release, I was able to make the configure script (using my own version of automake, so I'm not including the patch of the entire tree), and the rebuild player, and show that it indeed does continue writing logs after they are > 2^31 bytes large.

By making this a compile option it should handle both the .player file and any files created by writelog. I have tested the first, not the second.

Oh yes. The patch I submitted make >2GB the default, which can be turned off by using --disable-largefile

I'll let the Player designers decide if they want the default to be on or off. By having it on, there can be situations where if Stage is left to run overnight (perhaps on accident), then the .player file could in theory fill up the entire drive.

Geoff, could you add this to the cmake config?

The changes have been made in SVN trunk.
    Thank you for your contribution.
