Using the Python bindings to playerc, I'm trying to get an image from
a camera. While I seem to have connected successfully to the camera (I
can call the playerc.playerc_camera instance's save() method and get
an image on disk), I can't understand how to access the image data:
Out: <playerc.playerc_camera; proxy of <Swig Object of type 'playerc_camera
*' at 0xa5e48f0> >
Out: (640, 480)
Out: <Swig Object of type 'uint8_t *' at 0xa8f6678>
I was expecting proxy.image to be something I could read into a Python
array via array's fromstring method. When I try that, though, I just
get "TypeError: fromstring() argument 1 must be string or read-only
buffer, not PySwigObject"
I'm using Player 2.1.3 compiled from source on Ubuntu 8.10.
Thanks for any help!
