Hello all. I'm having a problem using the writelog driver. Where does it write the logfile ? When I quit the readings there is no logfile anywhere. I have already tried it with gazebo and with our sick LMS. Another thing, how can I use the stage from CVS with player ? it doesn't accept any arguments, it just idles there waiting for something :/ Thanks for all, keep up the GREAT work . --- Nullum magnum ingenium sine mixtura dementiae fuit. --- _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail |

You can pick a different file with the 'filename' option. Also, the logfile drivers currently only support the dummy 'null' interface, which can't be opened or closed by a client. So you must use the secret 'alwayson' flag, which will cause the server to start logging immediately on startup. Eventually we'll have a 'log' interface to allow remote control of logging (e.g,, start, stop, rewind, change timescale). Putting it all together, here's an example: position:0 (driver "p2os_position") laser:0 (driver "sicklms200") null:0 ( driver "writelog" devices ["position:0" "laser:0"] filename "foo.log" alwayson 1 ) > Another thing, how can I use the stage from CVS with player ? it doesn't > accept any arguments, it just idles there waiting for something :/ I'm not sure on that one; maybe Richard can weigh in. However, I do have the latest Player from CVS HEAD working with Stage 1.3.2. If anyone's interested, I can explain how to do it (requires changing a few source files and rebuilding Stage). Let me know. brian. |
