I'm copying this message to the playerstage_users list - the best place for questions like this. The missing error.h is a problem with the Player 1.6 installation script. It's fixed in CVS. Thanks for reminding me about it. I'll make some kind of fix available ASAP. Like it says in the release notes, Stage isn't an executable any more. It's a player plugin. Look at the user manual in the plugin page to see how to use it. Folks, I've fixed this problem and replaced the release with a new tarball: stage-1.6.0.tar.gz. Please make sure you build stage-1.6.0 and not stage-1.6.
