I have released new version of Cameron Morland's octplayer (Octave
bindings for Player) compatible with Player SVN and Octave 3.x.
I have made very risky change: pointers to Player client objects and
proxy objects are now held as sizeof(void *)-length array of numbers
instead of using C++ global arrays for keeping them and passing indexes
to Octave scripts. This is because I installed Octave from macports on
my new MacOSX machine and found that Octave bindings compiled on MacOSX
should not use global variables (they are not shared between *.oct
files!). Now it works on MacOSX as nice as on Linux (except that I don't
know how to use gnuplot there, so map.m and rangerscansxy.m demos are
not displaying anything on MacOSX).
I have also updated localize proxy functions to the latest changes in
SVN trunk - therefore if you plan to use localize interface with latest
Octplayer3, it should be used with recent Player SVN snapshot.
