I installed player 3.0.2 on a pioneer P3AT with a sick lms200 laser,
and I want to build a map of the lab and then localize the robot on
I was able to log the laser and odometry data without any problem and
then run "pmaptest", which produced a "coarse.pgm" and "fine.pgm"
image files. Both are correct representations of the lab area.
However, when I tried to use the "amcl" driver (using the
configuration file given in the documentation) I always get the error:
error: failed to open image file /home/ngoncalves/test_player/./coarse.pgm
This happens no matter what file I use (either fine.pgm or
coarse.pgm) or the file format, I've tried .bmp and .png. I also
tried changing the path of the file, without any luck. In despair I also
tried with "cave.png", but with the same results. I have permissions to read
the image files since the configuration file is in the same directory and is
read without a problem.
Couldn't find anywhere else for a solution. Can somebody tell me what
I am doing wrong ?
Thanks in advance,
