I released Stage-3.1.0 today, unfortunately on the day SF installed
their new File Manager system. SF currently shows the release notes as
the default download, but hopefully they'll straighten that out soon.
The main features of 3.1 of interest to developers are:
* removed dependency on GLib-2.0, replacing it with STL and pthreads.
This should make porting and installation easier. In true STL fashion,
it made some code more simple, other bits rather less so, and reduced
performance a bit. I will look into Windows support with the next
* with STL introduced, tried to follow modern C++ idiom a bit more,
including intialization lists and proper namespaces.
and not really developer specific, but I can't help but boast of
* much, much better performance than 3.0.1
Reports of testing are very welcome.
