[PlayerStage-Gazebo] Error with wxgazebo

[panigrc <panigrc@us...>]

Hello,
I am getting an error when I try to run gazebo-0.5.1/gui/wx/wxgazebo
The errors is the following
[panigrc@... wx]$ ./wxgazebo
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "./wxgazebo", line 4, in ?
    from wxgazebo.main import main
ImportError: No module named wxgazebo.main

I have installed successfuly ode, swig, gdal and I am despered :(
I' ve read the mailing list archive and there are many replies,but I don' understand. 
I checked glx and it's fine.
I can run the gazebo simulator, but there is no gui.
Please help!

I believe I had the same problem.  For me it was an incorrect
installation of Python.  This lead to wxgazebo not being created when I
configure, make and install gazebo.  If you check the output from
configure (or maybe make) you will probably find a line that indicates
the discrepancy.  I suspect you have the same problem.

By default Gazebo installs the Python files into 
/usr/local/lib/pythonX.X/site-packages/ which may not match the 
installed location of your Python. I had to enter at the shell prompt:

export PYTHONPATH=$PYTHONPATH:/usr/local/lib/python2.3/site-packages/

before running wxgazebo so that Python will find the P/S/G 
Python-related installed files (gdal and wxPython put their files there 
too, be default).
