I have seen that libstageplugin cannot provide ranger nor ir interfaces. There are plans to implement this models (well, just ranger, as it'll replace both sonar and ir)?
I can use just the sonar interface for any ranging device, but this breaks the unified interface offered by simulated and real robots to player clients.
One related issue is that I think it can be useful also to have different visualizations for sonars and infrared sensors in stage, as is the case in playerv.
The unified ranger interface is a cool idea, but maybe it will be useful to add a parameter to choose the color of the beams.
What do you think about all that?
