I am not aware of any work on CORBA bindings for player. Brian looked at RMI as a transport layer, I am not sure where that work got to though. Unfortunately I am not very familiar with the details of CORBA, but you may find it easier to use the c++ client library as a base rather than the player core. It really depends on what your intention for the CORBA bindings is.

It has been mentioned in some of the papers based on player that CORBA or JINI could be used as the transport layer instead of TCP/IP that is currently included in player. I want to know if anybody has actually written CORBA bindings for player messages. If not I would like to do this and welcome suggestions on the best way to go about this.
