Overview

PlateEditor allows different types of data analysis for layout with result file(s) attached. Each analysis tool opens in a new window, the report page, with the data loaded from PlateEditor.
Analysis tools can be accessed from the [Menu Panel].
Menu Panel - Analysis group

Analysis currently available in PlateEditor:
a. [Column] analysis: aggregation tool computing all the area-concentration combinations and reporting aggregated values for each of them, as a 1D table. See the [Column] page for more information.
b. [Grouped] analysis: aggregation tool allowing representation of aggregated values in 2D tables. See the [Grouped] page for more information.
c. [Controls]: use this tool to aggregate the data for the controls and compute Z' values for your plates. This tool will start only if control-type areas are defined in the layout. See the [Controls] page for more information.
d. [Hits]: use this tool to select wells that have parameter values above a given threshold. This tool requires control-type areas in the layout. See the [Hits] page for more information.

Options

Each analysis tool embends some controls and options to tune the data visualization.
Analysis - Options

General options (1)
These options control the data visualization in the report page.
- Collapse tables: tick to limit the height of tables to the number of row indicated. Untick to display all the rows.
- Decimals: indicate the number of decimals to display after the decimal separator. This will force this number of decimals to be displayed everywhere, potentially adding trailing 0 when necessary. Select the "All" option to stop enforcing decimal control and show the raw value everywhere.
- Show CV: tick to show the coefficient of variation in the table statistics.
- Log Scale: tick to transform the concentration values into their log10 values. Only for the Grouped report for which concentration data are selected as rows or columns.
- Shift unit: tick to shift the unit of the concentration data to their closest root unit. Only active when the log scale option is ticked. This allows for example the display of log concentration values in root unit molar (M) or g/mL instead of micro, nano or pico subunits.

Export (2)
Use the Export All button to export all the tables generated in the report at once (including hidden tables). A structured zip file will be given for download.
- Export Values: Control the format of the values that will be exported. Use the "From file" option (default) to export the data as they appear in the result file (original, unformatted data), or the "Displayed" option to export the data as they appear on the screen (with the formatting applied).

Results (3)
This section lists the result files available in the report page. Only validated result files are imported from PlateEditor.
Note that changes in PlateEditor will not be reflected directly in the report page: you will have to close and re-open the page to include your modifications.

Others
Other specific options and controls are available for each analysis tool. See the pages related to each tool for more details.
