Quick description

This script will generate the images of Earth and/or Moon and place them upon an image (usually a photo) that can be used as desktop wallpaper. The image can be a solid color, a geometrical pattern or an image that is supplied by the user (as a file or randomly chosen from a folder). {SCREENSHOT}
In the case of an image supplied by the user, a further option exists:
- use the image as is (stretch it to the screen edges) {SCREENSHOT} or
- use the image in a smaller frame, like a framed picture in a defined position on a screen {SCREENSHOT}

The script is designed to emulate the behavior of several desktop gadgets (desktop widgets), but it is designed to take very little ram and cpu an NOT to run continuously - so it is very battery and resources friendly. It uses a several cache files to accomplish this (saves CPU cycles).

The script is also independent of the X server (X11 etc) and independent of the desktop/window manager. The script runs generates the wallpaper in a defined folder, and you can instruct your X/desktop/window manager to use that image as background. Being independent of Xserver, it can e run from a cron-job; the X/Desktop manager can be informed about the change in the picture (see bellow, examples HOW TO RUN with...)
