[Planetlab-users] Unable to Use Ping

HI,
I am a returning user to planetlab. I had scripts which used ping to 
collect some network state and when i tried running these recently on 
planet-lab they failed.

I would like to know if this is a flaw or is this a security feature 
incorporated in Planet-lab.
In case ping are no longer allowed on the network then is there any 
other way or working around this problem.
