Lightning is an add-on that allows display events and appointments in various formats. Inside Plandora the project leader can generate events or milestones for each project. Thus, it is possible to export these events to Lightning tool to be viewed as a remote calendar. That's because Plandora has a mechanism that provides data in a format that meets the Lightning.
If you want to know more about the Lightning click here: [http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/lightning/].
From the main screen of the calendar (Lightning), right click in the left pane and choose "New Calendar ...". A setup wizard will be opened. Select "In Network" option and press "Next".
On the next screen choose "iCalendar (ICS)" that it is the format in which Plandora is able to generate. Then, type the URL such as the example bellow and press "Next".
http://192.168.1.10:8080/pandora/do/calendarSync?projectId=[ID_OF_MY_PROJECT]
The server name and port is only an example, check the appropriate content. The string ID_OF_MY_PROJECT must be replaced by the ID of the project that you want to import to Lightning.
Tip: The grid "My Project" in Plandora main screen contains a column with the id of all projects.
On the next screen choose a name and a color for your new calendar. The alert options must be turned off because (for now) you can not generate alerts for Plandora events. Click "Next" and "Finish".
It is also important to adjust some parameters of the calendar. Press the right button on the new calendar item that appeared in the left pane and click on "Properties". On the screen that opens, make sure that the "Read Only" is checked. This is because the Plandora integration is unidirectional, that means that, the events can be read from Plandora but you can not edit them or save them back.
It is important to note that:
Only events or milestones marked at Plandora as "public" will be displayed on the remote calendar.
There are no restriction to access the public records by Lightning. Even people who are not allocated into the project can access the public data using the URL shown above.
