Placeto moving to Git

We've made a decision to bring the development of this project back up to speed, and part of that decision is moving the development over to Git. This will including syncing up to GitHub, and we will have a more stream lined development plan. Another future plan is to move the bug tracker in house, along with adding several other features.

Out of planning stage

If you haven't noticed already, Placeto CMS is no longer being developed in the Alpha version. We have been working hard to bring you a beta version, so please be patient for a while. If you have any suggestions on what you're looking for in an CMS, now is the time to tell us. We want to know what you want in a CMS and how you're going to use it. We're pretty set for the current development plan for Placeto, but if someone has a great idea, right now is the perfect time for us to add that feature in.

Auth. Bypass Vulnerability

Despite the "acclaimed" Auth. Bypass Vulnerability that has run amok today about Placeto CMS, reaching several security sites. The known method was to perform a simple SQL injection attack on the Admin's login. However, if you are using the current version, this vulnerability does not hold true and you are protected.

Even so, I would have enjoyed for these "researchers" to at least contact me through the website informing me about it. The only way I ended up finding out, is through researching the cause of a traffic spike to blahertech.org.

Placeto Rv. 4 Problem

If you recently downloaded Rv. 4, I'm very sorry for Placeto to not work out of box. We forgot about config file from development we were supposed to delete. If you would like to try Placeto, we've now tested to make sure that Rv. 4 works out of box.

Placeto CMS Alpha rv.4

Placeto CMS not only is faster than ever, but it now has a working draft admin. It's nothing pretty, but it gets the job done for now. You still can't access the advanced features without editing the database directly however. Some other improvements include the database being optimized, a few bugs fixed, a dynamic sitemap mod added and added security.

With benchmarking flying past even Google's loading speeds, we believe the development is headed in the right direction.

Placeto CMS Alpha rv. 3

We've released revision 3 of the alpha series. The update includes server caching, security fixes and better mod development access. With us using Placeto CMS as our own CMS for our website, each page doesn't even show any loading time due to the browser and server caching support. There's no doubt that Placeto will make your website load like it's downloading from the user's very own computer.

Alpha revision 2 released

Not only did we add a lot of new features and default mods, but we added better structure and templates. There was also a huge security hole that is now fixed with this release. Speed has also slightly improved along with memory handling.

First alpha release

The first alpha release is now available for downloading now. All alpha releases consist of Placeto's engine and no admin. The admin will not be included until beta release. All releases consist of two parts, source and build. Build is the same as source but all white space, comments and file includes removed. This offers a increase in performance but if you're a web developer, we recommend using the source release.... read more
