Sorry forgot to reply to all again Version 0.2 The latest -tar.gz from sf for both In fact I just tried several minutes ago and the same think happened - when i pressed stop on the only sample i was playing and then the red exit button and then nothing (hard lockup). I will try with a slightly earlier kernel to see it that changes anything.
