Hi all, I've finally finished all my exams(sigh), and that means I'm free from now on till end of August - a whole yeppie three-and-a-half months! Anyway, I think this is the time for us to push the next release out. Here are the most major tasks in my opinion: Upgrade the code to compile with the newest library, like ogre1.2, the sound library, etc. Make sure it compiles and work, then eliminate any bugs. Make all the models with texture. I think I will focus on the model task(learnt wings3d and find it to be much more effective at making models that are more regular than blender-i.e. inorganic models. I didn't even have to try! ) And I will try to go out and take photos of texture myself. How about the others? Any progress made that I'm not aware of? Cheers, lemontea |

First, thanks lemontea, for pointing this sourceforge change. If you hadn't, we probably would have ended up losing all of our database data, although I may have a fairly recent (1 month or so) backup somewhere. I have taken care of getting our old data migrated to the new MySQL 4.x database. The forums appear to be working correctly, but I'm not sure about whether the front page news posting will work properly or not. The news posting and wiki might both have issues now because I believe that sourceforge also recently changed the project web servers to not be world-writeable. The wiki used flat files for storing its info, and the front page news posting is currently configured to generate static files, so I think we may have issues with that. |

To all admins, As of 7th Nov, 2005, our site's forum and wiki is down because sf.net has ceased all old version MySQL database service. I'm not sure if you had migrated the data or not, and whether you have backups. Important: If we've not backup and didn't migrated, we must contact sf.net's suppport team no later than 14th Nov, 2005 and request data retrieval. Thanks for your attention. lemontea |

Tom, I just noticed your message to the list just now. I believe that the newest version of openAL doesn't work with the code in CVS. However, the plan is to at some point (hopefully in the near future) make any necessary changes and update both the openAL and oggvorbis versions that we use to the newest ones. ares_ |

Hi, this is my first mail here, and I would like to ask what version of oggvobris and OpenAL should I use? I grabbed their newest version and compiling the pizzagame project gives error on the include file of oggvobris and OpenAL. Thanks, lemontea |
