I'm trying to bake a lightmap for a scene in a level editor. I've converted the geometry/lights to pixie and already got an unwrap ready. Now the final step is to actually bake the lightmap. I'm not sure how i should do this. Is bake3d as explained in the wiki on THE way to bake textures? It looks like bake3d function casts rays from the camera, which means there could be a lot of rays on a small triangle close to the camera and a lot less on a bigger triangle far away from the camera? Please correct me if i'm wrong but this would cause a very variable texture detail.!? If this is right, is there an other way to bake textures?
