When I scale plane up to 4000 units it partly disappears. If scale it more it disappears at all.

    This is rib example:

    Option "searchpath" "shader" "@:./shaders"
    Display "watermelon.tif" "framebuffer" "rgb"
    Format 800 600 1
    Projection "perspective" "fov" 40

    ShadingRate 1

    PixelFilter "catmull-rom" 2 2
    PixelSamples 1 1

    Translate 0 0 5
    Rotate -3 1 0 0
    Rotate   0 0 1 0
    Scale 1 1 -1

    Hider "hidden"
    WorldBegin
        ReverseOrientation
        LightSource "shadowdistant" 1 "intensity" 0.8 "from" [1 4 1]  "shadowname" "raytrace"
        LightSource "distantlight" 1 "intensity" 2.32 "from" [1 4 1]

        AttributeBegin
        Surface "plastic"
            Translate 0 -0.8 0
            Scale 4000 4000 4000
            Polygon "P" [-0.5 0 -0.5   0.5 0 -0.5  0.5 0 0.5  -0.5 0 0.5]
                    "st" [0 0  1 0  1 1  0 1]
        AttributeEnd

        AttributeBegin
            ReverseOrientation
            ShadingRate 1
            Rotate 90 0 0 1
            Rotate 90 0 1 0
        Surface "plastic"
            Sphere 1 -1 1 360
        AttributeEnd

    WorldEnd

This seems to be a minor bug with the determination of the parameteric steps (and when they are too tiny to be accurate).  I've fixed this in svn and it'll be out in the next release.

You may still need to increase the Option "limits" "eyesplits" number to avoid warnings.

      Cheers

      George
