These .ts files created by my video recorder are a pain in the a*$e.

At least I can play them.

If Pitivi loads the ogg file fine, then great.  If not ... the only thing 
that's worked for me so far is ffmpeg2theora.  I converted AVCHD input to 
Ogg Theora output, and Pitivi loaded and edited it without issue.
