Thank you for the suggestions. I added the PPA to Ubuntu and I was able to download the updates. Now I have version 0.13.5 and I was able to render the video in the MPEG format (in the previous version I would click on render and it would just hang). Anyway, now that I have been able to render the video, I was trying to burn a disk, but the programs that I was trying to use (Bombono DVD & DVD Styler) did not accept the rendered file.

Also, the rendered file didn't look very good. The original video looks so much better than the rendered one. Is there a place where I can change the quality of the video? The resulting video seems to have been compressed a lot. I will greatly appreciate further help with this.

Many thanks,

Hi Juan, 0.13.4 is unsupported. Can you try with 0.13.5 (there is a PPA
for it, see the website)?

What do you mean, "nothing happens"? If it doesn't start rendering at
all/hangs, you need to file a bug report (with the latest pitivi version
or pitivi git) with steps to reproduce the bug, and any errors that may
appear in the terminal... debug logs would help too.

Can you try with the gstreamer codecs instead of the ffmpeg ones?
There's a gstreamer version of the "MPEG Program Stream" container.
Maybe it could work.
