"XChat has changed its logformat again in early 2005. The "brand new" format is broken in the same way as the mIRC6 format in that it is now impossible to tell actions from real events."
Impossible? I quite frankly don't believe that, It was just changing, for example, --> to a *, and mIRC stats can even do it....
