Unfortunately I still haven't made any more concrete plans on how I
imagine the authoring menus in Pipmak to work...

That sounds useful. I was planning on using PNG for this, but I guess it
can't hurt to have a GIF writer as well - the more the merrier. We might
want to get this integrated, if you want to post your code we could have
a look.

Interesting. Is this integrated in any way with the currently existing
fragments of hotspot editing?
