If theme configurations exist in multiple locations, they appear multiple times in the prefs window.
To duplicate:
copy e.g. /usr/share/games/pioneer
to ~/.local/share/pioneer
.
Load client and start game
Look in prefs window at themes menu. Each theme is listed twice.
Environment: pioneers v15.5 on Debian Buster.
Hello jdv,
Thanks for reporting this issue.
When the functionality was written, it wasn't intended to have a copy of all themes in
~/.local/share/pioneers
, only the personal, custom themes (like private scans of the tiles of the board game that you own).If you are modifying the copies, I would recommend to rename the folders in
~/.local/share/pioneers
, so the new name will be shown. If not, I would recommend to delete your copies and keep only the global themes (/usr/share/games/pioneers
).IMHO implementing a proper comparison and renaming is possible, but a corner-case.
Therefore I mark this ticket as 'wont-fix', especially because there is an easy work-around.
With kind regards,
Roland Clobus
