Switching off checked mode corrupts registry key

Switching off checked mode appears to corrupt the registry key, so that Pinyinput will no longer output toned vowels. Switching checked mode back on does not fix the problem, as it reverts once you exit the dialog. Deleting the Pinyinput registry key, however, does solve the problem, as the key is recreated with default values the next time Pinyinput is loaded.
I discovered this using the latest Mercurial revision (97), running on Windows 7 64-bit.
