#25 pinedit - load object partialy works

In pinedit, you can only load objects that are in the
same directory. Objects in the data directory need to
be copied to the new table's directory if you want to
use them.

I'd say this is a good thing: it keeps you from "orphaning" objects when you tar up the table.
